Articles submitted for publication by AHS are triple-blinded peer-review (authors, reviewers, and section editors are anonymous among themselves), guided by the recommendations for the preparation, writing, editing, and publication of academic works in medical journals (Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals; http://www.icmje.org/icmje-recommendations.pdf), following the norms of ethical behavior and good practices of the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE; http://publicationethics.org) and the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (http://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct).
