Research with non-human animals

   Studies using non-human animals must state that the maintenance, care and development of the experiments were carried out following national and international ethical standards, in accordance with the Basel Declaration (https://animalresearchtomorrow.org/en/basel-declaration). Authors must follow and declare that they have followed the principles of the 3Rs guidelines (Replacement, Reduction and Refinement) and the recommendations of the National Centre for the Replacement Refinement & Reduction of Animal in Research (NC3Rs) guide (Animal Research: Reporting of In vivo Experiments (ARRIVE; https://www.nc3rs.org.uk/arrive-guidelines).
